The last person who used the studio 926, which I got at SVA, left some holes on one of the walls. My studio neighbor covered them with stucco and was planning to sand the wall until he got caught up in grad-student busy life.
These series of interventions on the wall were made using the existing traces on it, making them visible instead of fixing them. Each intervention was around 10-15 cm. and was made with pencil, ink, cut-out paper and map pins. After four months they were erased and I painted over them.
Studies on fissures 1, India ink, charcoal and pencil on cut-out paper. 160 x 150 cm.
